Traditional acupuncture is typically done in a private room where the practitioner may ask you to remove items of clothing to have access to certain acupuncture points on the body. Community acupuncture is done in a shared space and only uses acupuncture points on the arms, lower legs, ears, face, and scalp. Community style acupuncture is highly convenient and extremely cost effective without sacrificing any of the benefits!
We treat multiple patients in a single session, allowing us to keep costs low and still provide high-quality care. Our goal is to make acupuncture available to everyone in our community! Community acupuncture is perfect for those looking for treatment for low costs that are comparable to a co-pay for treatments with insurance. While we do not accept insurance, the affordability is as low as a co-pay would be!
Acupuncture is a gentle and effective therapy involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi (vital energy). The needles stimulate your body's central nervous system and immune system to react to an illness or symptom, rebalance your body, release natural chemicals. These natural chemicals include endorphins, your body's natural painkillers, and neurotransmitters, chemicals that control nerve impulses.
Community style acupuncture specifically can help with any Pain, Headaches, Allergies, Cold Symptoms, Respiratory Symptoms, Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Digestive Issues, Addiction, Insomnia, Bell Palsy, Sports Injuries, and More! Studies show that acupuncture triggers the release of endorphins starting as early as 10 minutes after the needles are inserted. The effects are even stronger in a group setting, offering you maximum benefit from your session!
Comfort is key! For your treatment, just roll up your sleeves and pant legs to access points on the lower arms and legs. Needles will potentially be placed in the scalp, ears, face, hands, lower arms, legs (below the knee), and feet. If needed, we may ask you to wear shorts or a t-shirt to access areas above the knee or shoulder. No need to worry about undressing!
Rest assured, our skilled acupuncturists will select the best points for your needs, whether in a group or individual setting. Every style of acupuncture is effective, and our team will ensure you get the most appropriate treatment based on your unique health concerns.
